What is RSS?

It stands for Really Simple Syndication, and is an easy way of receiving new content from your favourite sections of Humanitarian Portal - Sri Lanka. RSS feeds contain headlines, a summary and a link to the article/map on the website. Subscribing to an RSS feed keeps you up to date with the latest news, without having to constantly revisit the site to check for updates.

How do I use RSS?
You can read content delivered via RSS by setting up a free account with a hosted service like www.Bloglines.com. A hosted service offers you the advantage of being able to access your news feeds from any computer with internet access. Other readers are also available. Once you have an account, all you have to do is to decide what content you want.
